The weather took a turn for the better, sun and a slight breeze. We walked along coastal parks, lots of beaches, and of course the inevitable up and down along the coast. I’m really surprised at the number of surfing beaches there are as well as the number of people in the water. It’s not warm, just sunny! Mums and dads are sitting bundled up on the beach while the kids learn to surf or build sandcastles. Plenty of waves left over from the storm.

Along the way we met a young woman originally from Greece but now living in the UK- Natalianna. She decided to pack up her apartment and walk from Lands End to John o’Groats. She was tired of the 9 to 5 of work and decided there had to be more to life. Very brave IMO.

Throughout the day, we were plagued with flies. Murray thought it was because the farmers put manure on the fields but I think the wee bastards are all over on holiday from Spain (KK, Poopsie).
We managed to knock out lots of miles in spite of the flies, and pretty much fell down at the end of the day.
