Hiking Without Supervision

Tales from the trail (aka Senior Moments)

Northern Scotland and The End of the Walk

May 27 to June 2. After a quick overnight visit to Dundee to resupply and repack, we headed up North to finish this darned walk. I know, I know, I should be really enjoying the accomplishment but all I can think of is getting the bastard finished, which we did.

The North of Scotland was cold and damp, with a nice day here and there. I have decided I like canal walking – it’s flat and goes for miles, especially in the sun (that might be a plan for a next hike).

All in all, I should be happy with ‘the accomplishment’ but as always, think I could have done so much better if I pushed myself a bit harder. No excuses, I just got really lazy, and was tired of being away from home for so long. I missed my family in Texas, my own bed, my own ‘stuff’, and the warm weather.

About Me

Hiya! I’m Cathie and I love to walk and hike. I’m totally addicted to long miles, preferably in the sun. Whether it’s a few miles or hundreds of miles, I like to gear up, get out, and just go.
