The day was good. Weather great, hike was easy, and the BnB is really nice. My toes are not 100% but on the mend.
To start with, we went down a bastard hill, not up one. Can’t beat a downhill start. The sun was shining even if it was a bit nippy. Sun makes me happy. And the trail was full of stunning views, very little mud.
We had a slight detour due to a police shut down. Not sure what it was but another walker said there was inappropriate behavior in one of the car parks and the road was closed so the polis could investigate. I may need to do some more research.
We met a mum and daughter who are also walking from Lands End to John o’Groats. I’m sure we will meet up with them again along the way.
It was a great walk along the ridges of the hills and after we checked in to the BnB, we headed to the local pub for grub and refreshments.
All was good until one of the local yobs decided to adjust his bits and pieces while standing at the bar. Now, I totally understand a man’s need to adjust, but it can be done discretely. No, not this yob. He had his hands down his front and looked like he was giving it a good go, then had the nerve to put his ball-tainted hands all over the bar. I really felt the need to go say something but was told it would not be polite. FFS, what’s not polite is to mash your balls and knob, then touch places that normal humans are going to touch. Pandemic-shmemic, this was so much worse.

I do hope you are all enjoying the recaps, and I truly wish you could all be here to experience this with me.
